InVisa-Booth

The InVisa-Booth is an innovative solution to the shifting demand in the housing market to reduce the square footage and footprint of homes. This space saving innovation serves to eliminate wasted space by effectively maximizing functional space without increasing the overall size of a home design.  

This transforming island is ideal for urban living, narrow lot homes with limited footprints and home owners wishing to downsize without losing functionality. Originally designed as a workspace solution for a lack of seating and storage, the island features custom storage to accommodate the client’s needs. Two moving parts simultaneously transition to transform the island from a single working surface into two functional spaces when fully expanded.

Pulling the countertop out fully extends the island to reveal bench seating which doubles the available seating. The second moving part of this innovation is the back rest which raises in unison with the sliding platform to provide support and additional comfort to the bench.

The goal of this project was to live large in a small space while maximizing functional space which was effectively executed with the use of this patented design.
