Cornerstone University
What do you do when your university needs a new baseball field, and is simultaneously hurting for on-campus living space? You build a stadium that is also a dormitory! Cornerstone University’s new baseball stadium and dorm meets the school’s needs while also providing a stunning, state-of-the-art facility. The first two levels provide team locker rooms, staff offices, and training equipment. Levels three and four hold student apartments, connected by lobbies, which form a bridge overlooking the baseball diamond.
Hope Stadium
Hope College has an old, storied university feel to it, so the stadium needed to match that. The use of simple curve-counter curves lines and classic warm brick give the stadium that exact feel.
The baseball stadium has a welcoming and grand feel to it, without being a large overbearing structure. The stadium blends in with the campus style, continuing the timeless feel that the university is known for.
