Cornerstone University

Tasked with the master planning of the campus in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Visbeen masterfully wove the university’s branded mission and vision into a landscape of 300-year-old charm and modern amenities. With vehicular and pedestrian traffic, adjacencies, convenience, accessibility, and beauty in mind, Visbeen designed an intuitive plan featuring a clock tower, on-campus chapel, athletic facilities, green spaces, and a first-in-the-nation student housing integrated baseball stadium, among other lifestyle amenities. The dynamic and iconic dormitory was designed as the upper level of the stadium, leveraging the existing foundations and functionality of the athletic center to mitigate economic cost.
